Wearing your piece
Movement & manual winding
TAOS timepieces are mechanical automatic watches. Fully wound, they offer a power reserve of approximately 72 hours. Their accuracy is within ±5 seconds per day.
For optimal accuracy, we recommend winding the watch by hand before putting it on (crown pushed in against the case, turn it approximately 20 turns upwards — clockwise)
Water resistance
They are water resistant to 3 bar (30 m). They will therefore withstand occasional splashes, such as washing your hands or rain, but they are not designed to be immersed in water. We recommend removing your TAOS timepiece before showering or bathing, to avoid any risk of damage.
Straps
TAOS straps are made from natural materials such as calfskin. Like all fine leather, they will take on a patina over time, shaped by how the watch is worn. Exposure to perfumes, creams, hand sanitiser or water will accelerate this.

Care recommendations
A mechanical watch should be serviced every five to seven years to preserve the reliability and precision of the movement. During a service, the watch and movement are completely disassembled and cleaned, worn components are replaced, then the whole is reassembled and tested. Every full service renews the guarantee for a further two years.
Guarantee
TAOS timepieces are guaranteed for three years against all manufacturing defects, covering both parts and labour. For any request, please contact us directly through the contact form or by telephone on +41 (0)22 737 38 10. You may also approach the partner from whom your piece was acquired, who will liaise with the atelier on your behalf.
Servicing is carried out by TAOS together with the Atelier Olivier Vaucher, our founding partner — the same hands that made your piece. We are therefore committed to remaining at your side for as long as your piece exists.
